Film making experience commenced shooting his first roll of standard 8mm film in 1968 at Brimham Rocks and projecting The Wizard of Oz‚ as a 35mm film projectionist at Star Studios 1 & 2, Farnham in 1973. He took a 16mm auto-load camera and motorcycle battery-powered lamp into Trident Passage, Agen Allwedd in 1980, along with Steve Holmes & Dave Ashurst ˆ the results of which were processed in the BBC TV Film Unit laboratories at Pebble Mill, where he was employed in the film editing department.
Caving experience at Llangattock, South Wales, throughout the UK and in France, Ireland, Norway & Spain. Descent of the Gouffre Berger into the final canals in 1984, courtesy of the Army Caving Association, and the opening up of Daren Cilau from 1984 with Jock Williams, Joe Goodall, John Cooper, Paul Tarrant, Martyn Farr and many other energetic members of Chelsea Spelaeological Society and enthusiastic UK cavers. Currently deep in research and bringing long running caving-related book & film projects to fruition, whilst providing back-up support for the Cave and Karst Science‚ editors on BCRA Council.
