First caved in 1953. Former member of White Rose Pothole Club. Caving Organiser for the Oxford University Expedition to Northern Spain 1961 to the western massif of the Picos de Europa, to which OUCC has returned most years ever since.
Member of CRG until its merger with BSA into BCRA.
