| 'Calling Black Country Cavers'
Dudley's Own Caving Club, "Dudley Cave Rescue Team" welcomes novice and experienced cavers.
The club meets every Thursday evening at their new headquarters at The Old Ruiton Windmill, Vale Street, Upper Gornal at 8.30pm. Just turn up or contact Emma Porter (details below) for more information, or visit the Club's Web site at: www.dudleycavingclub.org.uk The club headquarters is well equipped for all aspects of caver training. The mill is 40 feet high. An abseil frame has been fitted to the roof and DMM hangers have been fixed to the outside wall. This makes the mill an ideal venue for electron ladder and SRT practice - including rigging Y hangs, re-belays and deviations. The mill is used to host the annual conference of the Midland Cave Rescue Organisation and visiting clubs are welcome to make use of the facilities.
