Cave Art - Ellis
--------------------

Ellis has been caving for nearly forty years, mainly in the UK but also in France and Slovakia. Major expeditions have taken him to Greece, Spain, Norway and most recently India.

His sculptural work is based on experience, reaction and perception to the particular cave, passage, chamber or feature. It is an interpretation of form, shape, texture and water. The barreness of the wild underground space is presented.

This work is complemented by the writing of poetry, prose and photography. These activities now take most of his time as he tries to enter, record, visualise, reinterpret and represent the cave (and caver's) world.
