GLOUCESTERSHIRE CAVE RESCUE GROUP (GCRG)

GCRG is responsible for rescue incidents in the caves and mines of Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties.

The group is mainly made up of members of the local caving clubs - Gloucester SS, RFDCC, Hades, and other cavers from outlying areas. It has a HQ at Cinderford in the Forest of Dean where equipment is stored and training takes place. Facilities include a technical training wall, which is available for SRT training by outside groups. The group normally holds training days on the first Sunday of March, June, September, and December, in the form of technical workshops or underground rescue scenarios.

For more information contact the group at its HQ (01594 827999), or the Information Officer (01594 860581).
